Within the last year, You Tube began putting their foot down and shutting down videos guilty of copyright infringement. This doesn’t happen automatically. However, if a video becomes popular, and if the author of the music or the owner of the copyright sees the video and makes a complaint, then the video will be shut down. This has happened a number of times, even with popular videos that suddenly lost their appeal overnight, after You Tube yanked the audio portion of the tape.
